Roy designs and builds electric bikes while Bambi is converting her high school car into an electric vehicle that will be powered by her rooftop array of solar panels. They both also belong to the Ventura Electric Vehicle Association (VEVA). They encourage anyone who is interested in this technology to contact VEVA. |

Some of those practices include photovoltaic solar panels, water conservation, recycling 90 percent of waste, and a new 13.2 megawatt heat-and-power cogeneration technology discussed in this clip. For its efforts, the company received the 2011 California Governor’s Environmental and Economic Leadership Award. |

Ojai Valley SchoolThe high school campus in Upper Ojai is teaching a green lesson to its students while helping the environment. The school installed a photovoltaic system that supplies 85 percent of its energy needs and reduces its carbon footprint by 690,000 pounds annually. Because of this project, the school received the 2013 Ventura County Climate Action Award. |

And Island Packers is committed to protecting the ocean and all natural resources as it takes visitors to the Channel Islands National Park and Marine Sanctuary.
