Clean Air Fund Advisory Committee

Purpose: The Ventura County Air Pollution Control Board established the committee in 1991 to advise it on expenditures from the Clean Air Fund, which was established with a $1.5 million donation from 3M Co. The nonprofit Ventura County Community Foundation holds the funds in a trust. One of the accounts is a permanent endowment from which annual grants are limited to the interest earnings, typically 5%.

 

 

Meetings are held as needed when funds are available and projects are proposed.

 

Members: Membership includes five citizens, four people representing business, three from civic and environmental constituencies and one from transportation, The Air Pollution Control Board appoints members to four-year terms.
